Generation Kids Daily Devo

This week we will be looking at the our 4 W's: Wonder, Wisdom, The Word & Worship! Today's W is God's WORSHIP! God is such an amazing Creator, that He spread His personality across the different cultures of the world, as we were all created in His image. Like a rainbow made of many colors, coming together to shine as one... we have all been given unique expressions of God's personality, and each unique diversity among us is an opportunity to do what He created us to do, in such amazing and unique ways - to WORSHIP Him! So whatever you do, and however you do it... use it to glorify God!

In a world full of shifting values, changing fads and trends that give way to new trends... it's helpful necessary to cling to things that we know won't ever change. God's Word NEVER changes. It's in His Word that, across history, across cultures and across social status that we find the truth that doesn't change. His Word is true now and forever, for the rich and the poor... for light and dark skinned people. His Word is true for us all, forever!

Wisdom is taking what we've learned, either first-hand in our own lives, or through the lessons learned by those around us, through their own experiences - and letting them help shape our future decisions. When we learn to let go, or leave behind a good thing (like earthly riches) - in favor of a better thing (eternal treasure) - we begin to see God's WISDOM at work in us!

This week we will be looking at the our 4 W's: Wonder, Wisdom, Worship & The Word! Today's W is WONDER! God will use things in our lives to help shape who we are, and who we become - most of the time, without us even realizing He's doing it. He's never NOT at work. This is never as obvious as when we look back at things that have happened, and realize how important they were (even difficult and sad things) in shaping the "us" we see today. Up close, and in real time... it can be hard to notice... but when we look back, and see God's hands at work in the past, shaping our future - it's hard not to reflect on God in awe and Wonder!

This week we will be looking at the LORD'S PRAYER, and how Jesus used it to show us how to pray, and how to think about God when we do. What we think of God when we pray or think about praying will largely determine whether or not that's a place we want to be frequently, only when we're in trouble, or never. Today we look at how Jesus encourages the disciples to pray for God's help, in leading them clear of the path of temptation. He knows that we're no match... no match without HIM, that is.

This week we will be looking at the LORD'S PRAYER, and how Jesus used it to show us how to pray, and how to think about God when we do. What we think of God when we pray or think about praying will largely determine whether or not that's a place we want to be frequently, only when we're in trouble, or never. Today we look at how Jesus asks us to show forgiveness to others... Not because we feel like forgiving, or even because we are trading apologies with someone... but He tells us to pray for forgiveness in our hearts, based on the forgiveness He's shown us. So whether someone asks for it, because Jesus gave it... we also, should give it to others.

This week we will be looking at the LORD'S PRAYER, and how Jesus used it to show us how to pray, and how to think about God when we do. What we think of God when we pray or think about praying will largely determine whether or not that's a place we want to be frequently, only when we're in trouble, or never. Today we look at how Jesus begins to help us learn what God is doing, and to try and give us a gradual desire for God's Kingdom, which was the purpose for His coming... to see His Kingdom come and His will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven!

As we begin a NEW YEAR and a NEW SEASON of our Generation Kids Daily Devo Podcast, we begin by focusing on "New Beginnings." There are new beginnings... and there is the New Beginning to end all 'new beginnings'... and God wants us to be there. When He sets up the new heaven and the new earth, His desire is for us to be with Him... without the effects of sin, and without separation from Him. Having created earth once, and having seen it fall... because of Jesus' victory over sin and death, this is one creation that won't again need a re-creation!
